FAQ - "Should I take the ACT or SAT? When should I take this test?"

Most college and universities accept both the ACT and SAT. You are encouraged to take both as colleges will take the high score of the two exams. Please check out the SAT/ACT tab on our website under College/Career. Test dates run year around and it is recommended to take the test when you feel prepared. You must register ahead of time, there are registration deadlines. Please be aware of test location and what to bring test day (Photo ID Required). Counselors have practice booklets and plan free prep courses during the school year.

"What are Letters of Recommendation used for?

Letters of Recommendation are usually requested by the student to a multiple teachers for the purpose of being sent to requesting college or university for a student's college application. Not all colleges request a letter of recommendation for admission; however, it is advised that students start thinking which teachers they would ask for a letter of recommendation.
